Web Application Development in Dubai and the UAE

GenForge Studio builds custom web applications for UAE founders and operations heads who need a customer portal, SaaS product, booking system, marketplace or internal tool. We work from Lucknow, India, 1.5 hours ahead of Gulf Standard Time, so our working days overlap with yours from morning standup through late afternoon.

Every project runs on a fixed-price contract with milestone payments, weekly demos and a staging URL from week one. You talk to the engineers, not account managers. Full source code, repository and documentation transfer to you at handover, with a written IP assignment.

Demonstrated Production Systems

Zero Fictional Portfolio Padding

Past work includes Online Planet (multi-vendor marketplace), Kaam Connekt (multi-tenant HR SaaS platform) and Nature Medica (e-commerce with three shipping providers). We do not pad our portfolio with projects we have not built.

Multi-Vendor Marketplace

Online Planet

Scalable catalog with merchant onboarding, catalog moderation, and integrated payment flows.

Multi-Tenant HR SaaS Platform

Kaam Connekt

Isolated tenant data layer, role-based hierarchy, attendance tracking, and enterprise leave policies.

E-Commerce with Three Shipping Providers

Nature Medica

Custom checkout logic with real-time dynamic courier routing across three logistics carriers.

02 · SaaS Architecture

Multi-Tenant Architecture, Access Control and Billing

For SaaS products that serve multiple clients from one codebase, we design multi-tenant architecture from the start. Each tenant's data is isolated at the query level, not just at the UI level.

We add role-based access control so each user sees only what they are permitted to see. Subscription billing with Stripe or a UAE-licensed gateway, audit logging and admin dashboards are standard capabilities, not add-ons.

01
Data Layer Security

Multi-tenant data isolation

Strict database query-level isolation ensures no customer ever accesses another tenant's records, even under high concurrency.

02
Granular Permissions

Role-based access control (RBAC)

Hierarchical user tiers (Owner, Admin, Member, Auditor) mapped directly into server middleware and database mutations.

03
Monetization Engine

Subscription and one-off billing

Automated recurring subscriptions, proration, one-time invoicing, and webhooks integrated with Stripe or UAE payment providers.

04
Enterprise Compliance

Audit logs for compliance

Immutable append-only activity ledgers capturing authentication attempts, permission updates, and data exports.

05
Telemetry & KPIs

Admin dashboard with usage analytics

Centralized platform overview monitoring active seats, tenant bandwidth, storage consumption, and recurring revenue.

06
Developer Platform

REST APIs with rate limiting

Secured external endpoints protected by cryptographic API keys, sliding-window rate limiters, and OpenAPI documentation.

03 · UAE Regulatory & Regional Logic

UAE-Specific Requirements We Handle

5% VAT Data Layer

UAE VAT & Line-Item Tax

UAE VAT at 5% is stored per line item with the rate at time of transaction, so refunds and historic reports stay accurate. VAT registration is mandatory above AED 375,000 in 12 months and voluntary from AED 187,500. We configure this; we do not give tax advice.

Mandatory Threshold:AED 375,000
Voluntary Threshold:AED 187,500
Tax Storage:Per-Line-Item Rate
9 Gateways + BNPL

Payment Gateway Processing

For payment processing we integrate Network International, Telr, PayTabs, Tap Payments, Checkout.com, Stripe, Mamo Business, Tabby and Tamara. Note: Stripe does not support Mada cards.

RTL & Peppol XML

Arabic RTL & UAE E-Invoicing

Arabic and RTL layout support is built into routing and components from the start. hreflang is configured for bilingual sites. If your system issues invoices to other businesses or to government, UAE e-invoicing applies: Peppol-based structured XML (PINT-AE or UBL) sent through an FTA-accredited service provider, retained five years. Phase 1 (AED 50 million or more in revenue) goes live 1 Jan 2027. We build to the spec.

Remote Delivery: What Works and What to Watch

What Works1.5h Overlap

Daily Synchronous Engineering Flow

Working across time zones is normal for us. Our day starts before UAE offices open, so questions sent first thing in the morning generally get a response before noon Gulf time. We share a staging URL from week one and run weekly video demos so you see progress continuously.

What to WatchHonest Limits

Candid Boundaries on Physical Presence

There are honest limits. If your project needs regular in-person workshops with stakeholders who are not comfortable on video calls, a local Dubai agency is the right choice and we will say so on the first call. We do not take projects where remote delivery will hurt the outcome.

06 · Vendor Due Diligence Checklist

How to Choose a Web Application Vendor

Ask any vendor these questions before signing: Do you transfer full source code and repository access at handover? Is pricing fixed or time-and-materials? Will I talk to the engineers or to account managers? Have you built multi-tenant apps before and can you show the architecture?

Question 01

“Do you transfer full source code and repository access at handover?”

Prevent vendor lock-in. Ensure complete Git history, deployment keys, and written IP assignment are contractually yours.

Question 02

“Is pricing fixed or time-and-materials?”

Avoid runaway hourly budgets. Fixed-price contracts tie developer compensation strictly to agreed architectural milestones.

Question 03

“Will I talk to the engineers or to account managers?”

Eliminate relay latency. Direct technical access prevents requirements from being diluted through non-technical middlemen.

Question 04

“Have you built multi-tenant apps before and can you show the architecture?”

Verify database isolation skills. Real multi-tenancy requires query-level security, not just a shared UI theme.

Comparative Cost Economics

Dubai Agency Rates vs. Deliverables

Dubai agencies typically quote 1.5 to 2 times our figures for comparable scope. That premium can be worth it if you need regular in-person presence. If you do not, compare deliverables, not logos.

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers on architecture, AED milestone billing, payment gateways, and full intellectual property transfer.

01Do you transfer full source code and IP at the end of the project?
Yes. At handover you receive the full source code, repository access, deployment configuration and documentation. A written IP assignment is included in the contract. We can sign an NDA before discussions start.
02How does payment work from the UAE?
We accept AED bank transfer or international wire. The standard schedule is 40% on project start, 40% on staging approval and 20% on launch.
03Can you integrate UAE payment gateways?
Yes. We integrate Network International, Telr, PayTabs, Tap Payments, Checkout.com, Stripe, Mamo Business, Tabby and Tamara. Stripe does not support Mada cards, so if Mada acceptance is required we use a UAE-licensed gateway alongside it.
04Do you handle UAE VAT in the application?
We store VAT at 5% per line item with the rate recorded at time of transaction so that refunds and historical reports stay accurate. We configure the technical implementation. We do not give tax advice; you should consult a registered tax agent for compliance guidance.
05What is your availability for calls? We are in Dubai (GST).
We are in Lucknow, India, which is 1.5 hours ahead of Gulf Standard Time. We also accommodate early evening calls on request.
06What if my project needs in-person workshops?
We will say so on the first call if we think it does. Some projects need stakeholder workshops that are genuinely easier in person. In that case we will recommend a local Dubai agency and explain why. We do not take projects where remote delivery will hurt the outcome.
07Do you build for UAE e-invoicing compliance?
Yes, for applications that issue invoices to other businesses or to government. UAE e-invoicing uses a Peppol-based framework with structured XML (PINT-AE or UBL) transmitted through an FTA-accredited service provider and retained for five years. PDF invoices are no longer valid for B2B and B2G transactions. We build to the specification. We do not give tax or legal advice.
